Scarpariello | Typical pasta sauce from Naples
Eppronto’s Scarpariello is a very simple sauce, made with fresh tomatoes, basil, and chili pepper. Its texture preserves the integrity of the tomato: whole fruits cut in half, sautéed with their skins on and then jarred to retain the natural structure and freshness of the pulp.
INGREDIENTS: Tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, basil, chili pepper, salt, garlic.
Rustic texture and intense aroma, ideal for dressing any pasta shape, but also surprisingly good on pizzas, focaccia, and creative dishes.
Our tip: Drain the pasta 2 minutes before the end of cooking and add it to the sauce previously warmed in a pan. Finish cooking by tossing with a little pasta water. Off the heat, add plenty of fresh basil and grated cheese to taste.
Store in a cool, dry place and keep away from sources of light and heat
