Sicilian shelled almonds
We are privileged to live and cultivate a land where almonds have grown and thrived beautifully for millennia.
The soil and climate conditions and the organic method allow us to harvest a rich and precious fruit.
The varieties Valdibella produces are all typical of Sicily, with strong organoleptic and nutritional qualities.
Among these, the Tuono, the Genco, Supernova Ferragnes, the Romana, the Pizzuta and the Fascionello.
The almond harvest takes place between August and September. After harvesting and husking, the almonds are dried for 3-4 days in the sun. Once dried they are stored in bags and stored in cool, dry warehouses. The shell perfectly protects the almond and allows it to be preserved for the whole year and even longer.
